Post-game scorecards for the 2024-25 season
For the 2024-25 Premier League season, after every Brentford game, we would create a visual scorecard that showed the final score from the game, indicated the colour of kit that each team wore, and included some digital artwork to tell a story from the game, or at least have some fun with the team nicknames.
With one season over and another about to begin, we thought it might be fun to bring all of the scorecards together into a single graphic. The Correlation FC logo uses 19 hexagons – convenient for the 19 opponents that the Bees play throughout the course of a Premier League season.
The first half of the season is on the left, starting with the season opener against Crystal Palace at the top. The games flow from top to bottom, left to right with the first half finishing with Brentford's decisive 5-0 win away at Southampton. The second half of the season falls to the right, both starting and ending with draws.
This visual helps to highlight the fact that the Bees didn't lose any of their 5 games against teams wearing yellow. They didn't win either of their matches against teams in black.
It's probably clear that we've used an AI tool to generate most of the scorecard background images. We'd be happy to have the help of talented human illustrators and digital artists to create these - please contact us if you're interested.
In the meantime, here are a few of our favourites from the past season where the Bees took on the Magpies, the Saints and the Wolves.
