Brentford goal contributions in 2024-25

We've already looked at the goals of 2024-25, but now it's time to look a bit deeper to see who was involved in helping make the goals happen.

At Correlation FC, we like to celebrate goal contributions in a more inclusive manner than the league's official stats do. We've written about this in detail. We want to celebrate the pass that lead to the goal – or the foul that led to the deflected header that led to the goal. It all matters, especially for a team like Brentford that relies heavily on teamwork, high-speed transitions, set pieces (and a bit of chaos) rather than only pure goal scoring talent (the Bees have that too).

We'll start by looking at the traditional stats. The officially recognised goals and assists. We'll combine those to see the total number of official goal contributions.

Official goal contributions

No surprises here – you can find this information on a million websites – Brentford's front four are leading the way.

Unofficial goal contributions

Next up are the "unofficial" goal contributions. These are the plays before the plays. The officially unsanctioned efforts that result in the goals and the celebrations. Here, Damsgaard is king, so many second assists – the through ball or the unexpected pass that opened up the opposition.

Putting it all together

Now we combine the official and the unofficial to celebrate the players who made all of the goals happen. Damsgaard shines, more than doubling his official contributions. Same goes for Collins, Lewis-Potter and Jensen. It's more! What's not to love.
